WEBMAIL
The Webmail is a web application that allows you to manage one or several e-mail accounts through a browser. Webmail is a very useful service, as it allows you to receive and send your emails wherever you are.
You can also send and receive attached files. Through the graphical interface, a normal connection to a mail server is established.
Advantages of webmail
- You can read your mail wherever there is an internet connection;
- YES, messages do not need to be downloaded;
- Mailboxes can be administered very easily;
Disadvantages of webmail
- A connection is required for both display and message composition;
- A slow connection affects the general functionality of webmail;
- Message composition functionality is generally limited, both for formatting and the total size of a message;
- It should also be remembered that downloaded web pages are stored on the local computer (in the cache memory), sometimes for a long time. So if you check mail through webmail using someone else’s computer, there is a good chance that the mail will be accessible to someone else using that same computer.
