2. Digitally sign your messages to ensure that the message really comes from your email address and has not been tampered with during the transfer. The digital signature certifies the origin of the message and that it has not been altered. A digital signature is generated by the mail software with your private key to ensure the authenticity of the mail. The purpose of the signature is twofold: the first is to certify that it really came from you, the second is to ensure that the content has not been altered.
3. For maximum security of your email address, you can encrypt the messages to make sure that nobody reads them. Encryption will turn your email into a confusing set of numbers and letters that can only be read by the correct recipient.
